‘Tis the season for festive Christmas cocktails, including this punch to serve your dearest family and friends. Gathering together is one of the best parts of the holidays, made even better by delicious food and drinks. With its fruity and refreshing flavor, this Christmas Punch recipe is easy and sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
A bright red hue and festive garnishes make this punch a beautiful site as well as a delicious beverage, the perfect duo for holiday entertaining. It is fruity and full-bodied with a bubbly kick of ginger ale. With the option to make it with alcohol or without, it is the perfect punch for everyone.
Ingredients
- Vodka. This is optional, but the best spirit to make a Christmas punch with alcohol. Use a mid-level vodka since this recipe is not as vodka-forward as other cocktail recipes.
- Pomegranate liqueur or juice. For a boozier punch, use a pomegranate liqueur. If you are making this non-alcoholic, use pomegranate juice.
- Cranberry juice cocktail. Make sure to use cranberry cocktail rather than 100% cranberry juice. This will be sweeter and not as tart as straight cranberry juice.
- Lemon-lime soda. Such as Sprite or Sprite Zero.
- Pineapple juice. Adding a fruity and refreshing flair, pineapple juice is a common punch ingredient.
- Ginger ale. Adds some sparkle and spice to your punch.
How to Make Christmas Punch
This easy Christmas cocktail can be made as a single drink or a punch to serve a crowd. For the full measurements for each option, see the recipe card at the bottom of the page.
- Combine all the ingredients in a glass, pitcher, or punch bowl.
- Refrigerate until ready to drink.
- Garnish and enjoy!
Make a Non Alcoholic Christmas Punch
Simply leave out the vodka and use pomegranate juice instead of liqueur to make a nonalcoholic punch and add a bit more Sprite. To serve both kids and adults, add an ounce of vodka to the glass after ladling the punch out of the bowl rather than adding it to the punch bowl.
How to Serve
Serve your Christmas punch in glasses with ice. The garnishes make this cocktail extra festive. We recommend orange slices and cranberries. Rosemary sprigs would be another festive addition.
Tips and Tricks
- Open your Sprite and ginger ale just prior to serving to preserve the bubbles. If making ahead of time, combine the other ingredients and refrigerate. Add soda and ginger ale right before you are ready to serve.
- Used chilled ingredients. This will limit the need for ice, which will dilute the punch as it melts.
- Swap the vodka for rum.

If there were any shame in my game – I wouldn’t tell you that we enjoyed a good many glasses of this yummy Christmas punch over the last several days! I mean I first made a big batch that my family of four devoured in twenty fours and then I made smaller batches throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I did end up tweaking it a little by adding more pomegranate liquor by otherwise; perfection! Thank you for this website… I love all of the beverage inspiration!
