This boozy frozen lemonade is the best version of an adult snowcone and perfect for a hot summer day! It takes me back to the summer days spent at county fairs and amusement parks as a kid.
It is made with vodka, lemonade concentrate, lemon-lime soda and requires minimal effort. There is something about the way vodka and lemonade compliment each other, this frozen recipe is the ultimate refreshing drink!
When you want something ultra-refreshing apart from the classic Margarita or Strawberry Daiquiri, turn to this recipe. Lemonade is the classic American summer drink, take it to the next level by adding vodka and making it frozen. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and tart with a minimal taste of the vodka, which is “bittersweet” in itself! It is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.
Frozen Lemonade Ingredients
To make Frozen Lemonade, you will need 12 ounces lemonade concentrate (just the concentrate, don’t add any water), a 2 liter of lemon-lime soda (like 7Up or Sprite), and two cups of vodka. Since the tartness of the lemonade and soda take center stage, the quality of vodka isn’t super important for this recipe.
How to Make a Frozen Lemonade
- Add the vodka, lemonade concentrate, and lemon-lime soda to a freezer safe container
- Stir until well combined
- Cover and freeze overnight
- Scoop into cups and serve
How to Serve a Frozen Vodka Lemonade
Grab an ice cream scoop to make serving easy. You’ll want to serve it right from the freezer to fully enjoy its icy goodness. Keep the container in the freezer or on ice when not serving to maintain its frozen composition. Garnish with a slice of lemon and serve with a spoon or straw.

Do you know what the recipe for two of these would be?
Lisa Longley says
Unfortunately, this is a big batch drink, so it can’t really be called down to two. That being said, it keeps well in the freezer, so you could make the full batch and then just pull out one cocktail (or two) at a time.

Thanks Lisa. Great idea!

I am wondering if you can substitute Lemon and Lime seltzer water instead of using Soda?
Nathan Longley says
We haven’t tried that, it will be a lot less sweet, but it will definitely work.
