The Sidecar is a classic sour cocktail with a long history and well worth the hype. A complex cocktail that is all parts tart, dry, smooth, and warm. It is easy to make and features Cognac, orange liqueur, lemon juice, and some sugar for the rim of your glass. It is sure to become one of your favorites!

A sugared rim is optional when making a Sidecar, but since the cocktail is on the dryer side, the sweetness with each sip is a nice treat.

Sidecar Recipe

Making a delightful Sidecar cocktail at home is quite simple and easy. You will need 2 1/2 ounces Cognac, one ounce triple sec (Grand Mariner or Cointreau), and one ounce lemon juice (fresh is best!) Coating the rim of your glass is optional, but highly encouraged due to the dryer notes of the cocktail. The sweet touch with each sip will really treat your tastebuds.
