You can’t miss this neon drink! The Midori Sour is notorious for its bright green color and unique fruity flavor with hints of melon. It is bubbly, sweet, slightly sour, and oh so refreshing!

Midori is a melon liqueur that originates from Japan. The word Midori actually means green in Japanese. The Midori sour is one of the most popular cocktails made with the well liked liqueur, and a great place to start if you’ve never had it before. The color of the drink is just as fun and festive as the flavor!

Midori Sour Recipe

Just a few simple ingredients combine to make a Midori Sour. Add a shot of Midori, one of vodka, 1/2 ounce of lime juice, 1/2 ounce of lemon juice to a glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a lime and cherry.

How to Make a Midori Sour

  • Fill a rocks glass or small tumbler with ice
  • Pour in vodka, Midori, lemon juice, and lime juice
  • Top with club soda
  • Garnish with a lime and cherry and enjoy!

What is Midori

Midori is a melon flavored liqueur that was first produced in the early 1960s. It is delicious, and definitely needs to be part of any well stocked bar. You can find it in most grocery stores, but if not, your local liquor store is sure to carry it.

How to Serve

Like most mixed drinks, the Midori Sour is served on the rocks or over ice. A lime and cherry make the perfect garnish to compliment the flavor of the cocktail as well as the signature color.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Midori
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • club soda to top or 7up/sprite

Instructions

  • Add midori, vodka, lemon juice, lime juice to an ice filled glass
  • Top with club soda
  • Garnish and enjoy

Notes

If you would like it sweeter, you can top it with 7up/Sprite.
