Midori Splice Ingredients

- Midori: The bright green star of the bar itself, good quality Midori. The melon liqueur is also enjoyed in the Midori Sour.
- Coconut rum: Malibu rum is our go-to and adds such a smooth boozy profile to this cocktail. Just the thought makes me long for a poolside lounge chair.
- Pineapple Juice: A slice of fresh pineapple makes the perfect garnish.
- Heavy cream: The cream is optional, as this Midori Splice recipe tastes delicious either way. But the cream creates such a lovely presentation, and balances out the sweetness of the cocktail.
How to Make a Midori Splice
Here is how this simple cocktail comes together. You can find the full recipe and measurements at the bottom of the post in the recipe card.
- Combine ingredients. Combine Midori, coconut rum, and pineapple juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Give it a good shake. Shake vigorously and strain into two tall cocktail glasses with ice.
- Add the cream. Gently spoon the heavy cream on top. (See photo below).
- Garnish and enjoy! Add fresh pineapple, cherries, or whatever tropical fruit your heart desires.

Midori Splice
Ingredients
- 4 ounces Midori
- 4 ounces coconut rum
- 8 ounces pineapple juice
- 2 ounces cream optional
- pineapple slice for garnish
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker, combine all of the ingredients, except the cream.
- Fill two tall cocktail glasses with ice. Pour the Midori Splice over the ice.
- Using a spoon (see photo above), gently pour the heavy cream on top of the cocktail. Garnish with a pineapple slice and enjoy!
